What is Angel Food?
Working through churches and community organizations in over 32 states, Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief to communities throughout the United States. Each month, Angel Food puts together a box containing fresh meats, fruits, vegetables and other staples that can be purchased by the general public for a fraction of the normal cost.

At Garnett, expanding on our commitment to reach into the community in a practical way and trying to meet the real needs of individuals, is a focus of ours. We feel that Angel Food helps us, in part, achieve that vision and we are excited to be involved with this practical, community-based outreach program.

Who qualifies?
Everyone, there are no applications or qualifications to order Angel Food. This program is designed to be a blessing to anyone that needs, or would like, their money to stretch further for reasons including, but not limited to, poverty and those struggling with debt reduction efforts.  

Where does the food come from?

Our food is “restaurant grade” meats, frozen vegetables, fruits, dairy products, etc. which we acquire through our involvement with only the best producers/vendors of high quality, “name brand” foods. Never “seconds” or “day old” type products are involved.

Can we purchase more than one unit or special?
Yes, you can purchase as many regular units as you would like. To purchase a special box you must first order a regular unit.

Where do I pay and pick up my food?
The orders placement and "pick-ups" are both at Garnett. Order placement times may vary slightly from month to month, but the "pick-up" time is usually the last Saturday of each month between hours of 9:00am – 11:00am. 

NOTE: It is important to arrive within the scheduled hours of "pick-up". Our desire is that this program blesses all involved and it’s important to understand that this program runs solely on volunteer staffing. Regretfully, any orders not picked up by the end of the scheduled time-frame will be considered a donation to other individuals or organizations.
