Roy “the honest man” from Uganda challenge us Sunday, April 18. He also spent lots of time through the week with many people in the congregation and community.
We are challenged to live more simply so others can simply live. I wish you could have seen Roy’s reaction to the simple hand-drilling water well method we showed him in Yukon, Oklahoma. He bearhugged me when he realized the revolutionary potential of water well kits going all over his country–and the world–where man and woman power can drill unlimited wells at a fraction of the cost of paying for rigs. Truck rigs will still be needed in some circumstances.
The cable rig water well method has been around for many years in the water and oil industry but innovations have not been specifically applied to the need for clean water worldwide till now and Water4.org is leading the way.
Roy works with Kibogroup.org in Uganda, so check out their web site as well.

Our mid-winter retreat is right around the corner! We will be going to Sky Ranch in Cave Springs, OK on the weekend of February 12th-14th. Our theme is “After God’s Own Heart” and we will be studying the life of David. Sky Ranch has the longest zip line in the state of OK, and we’ll have the opportunity to ride that and also to have a paintball war! The cost of the basic retreat is $85 (includes food, lodging and t-shirt). The zip line is an additional $5, and paintball is an additional $15. A $25 deposit is past due, so if you haven’t signed up, please talk to Deanie Johnson (deanie6@cox.net) a.s.a.p.!!!
